Terms of use

Last updated 23 October 2026

These terms are the agreement between you and us when you use Peak. We've kept them short and plain.

What Peak is

Peak is a tool for recording and understanding your household's money. It does not connect to your bank, move money, or give financial advice. Figures are only as accurate as what you and your Space members enter. For advice about your situation, talk to a licensed adviser.

Your account

  • Keep your password private, and tell us if you think someone else has used your account.
  • You must be old enough to agree to these terms where you live, or have a parent or guardian agree for you.
  • One person per account. Share a Space instead of sharing a sign-in.

Spaces and the people in them

The Owner of a Space decides who can see and change it. Only invite people you trust with that information. Owners are responsible for the Space, including transferring or deleting it. Records someone adds stay in the Space if they leave.

Your data

What you enter is yours. You give us permission to store and process it only to run Peak for you. Our privacy policy explains how, and how to export or delete it.

Fair use

  • Don't try to access Spaces or accounts that aren't yours, or to break or overload the service.
  • Don't use Peak for anything illegal, including hiding money from someone you're legally required to disclose it to.

We may suspend accounts that break these rules, and we'll tell you why unless the law stops us.

Availability and changes

We work to keep Peak running and your data safe, with daily backups, but we can't promise it will never be unavailable. Keep your own exports of anything you can't afford to lose. If we change these terms in a way that matters, we'll tell you in the app at least 30 days before. If Peak ever closes, we'll give you at least 90 days to export your data.

Liability

Peak is provided as is. To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for decisions you make based on figures in Peak. Nothing here limits rights you have under consumer law that can't be excluded, such as the Australian Consumer Law.
